Egal (German for however) is just the name. Of course we left nothing to chance when transforming the shelf into six different sideboard versions. Feet made from steel, galvanised rollers or sliding doors made from polished stainless steel take the shelf to the next level.
Six options to play with
Sideboard, Lowboard, Rollboard, Rockboard, Highboard or Seatboard - the choice is yours. Additional features such as feet, rolls, base, seat pad or a selection of materials and colours for the sliding doors open new possibilities.

One body, lots of possibilities
Egal (German for however) is just the name. Of course we left nothing to chance when specifying the shape, material and additional elements. The linear body is optionally placed onto rollers, a base or feet made from nitrided steel. The Seatboard is fitted out with a bright felt covering. The MDF sliding doors come in orange, blue, black and white. Another door option features polished stainless steel for an eye-catching, unique appearance.
Craftsmanship meets industrial production
When industrial production and craftsmanship fuse, the character of our furniture is often created. The Egal Sideboard versions are the perfect example. There is our village blacksmith who ensures that the base and gently curved runners are shaped just right. Then, there are industrially produced heavy-duty rollers providing an exciting contrast. The Highboard finished in MDF Bicolor black makes for a particularly classy look.

Material Properties and Care
FU Black (birch plywood)
Material properties:
Several birch veneers are cross-glued, creating a material with a high level of dimensional stability. Generally our birch plywood panels are surface-coated or oiled. They are produced in Finland. The slowly-growing trees in the Finnish climate create fine-grain wood of consistently high quality. The following properties can occur: knot inclusions on the edge and possibly different edge colors (image 1), inclusions, glossy stripes or matt areas on the surface (image 2).
Cleaning and care:
Light surface soiling on the untreated edges can be removed using fine-grain sandpaper. Coated surfaces can be cleaned using a soft cloth with lukewarm water and a small amount of colourless washing-up liquid. Please only wipe oiled surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and as necessary treat with colourless oil.
