Kurt

Nils Holger Moormann

Kurt
Here comes Kurt. It has no screws, but a bar. The bureau is very easy to install, without any tools: Insert the legs through the panel, slide the bar through the legs, set up Kurt.

What's in a name?

For this handy bureau, actions and features speak louder than words. Two steel legs are pushed through a table top. The structure is fixed by means of a bar which also contains storage compartments. Radical, functional, simple. An everyday helper with different variations which works both free-standing in the middle of the room and placed against a wall. Naturally, we would still like to know: Who is this Kurt?

Description

Kurt

Design: Nils Holger Moormann, 2021

Everyone loves Kurt

They are called Werner, sometimes Silke, we just call them Kurt. Those human beings who, with their strong personality, attitude and composure, act as an orientation light to others. For Nils Holger Moormann, Kurt Weidemann was such a human being. Thus, Kurt is not just a table, but also a homage. In short: We like Kurt.

Barred, not screwed

We will probably never tire of the idea of leaving out as much as possible. Kurt is a perfect example of this discipline. Its components comprise only a tabletop, steel legs and a timber bar, and then it goes and drops even screws and tools. During assembly, it contents itself with two temporary straps to generate the required pretension. Kurt's full functionality becomes apparent when in use: Shelf behind the bar, cable management in the inside of the bar, various organisational options through additional trays and drawers (Ash bar) or recesses (Douglas fir bar).

Technical Details / Notes

General Information

MDF is a semi-finished material designed for coating. We use MDF for its characteristic aesthetic as an uncoated raw material. Contact or cleaning with liquids should therefore be avoided. There is a possibility of marks of industrial manufacture and quickly occurring signs of usage.

The support feet have a flexible plate which can offset small irregularities in the floor.

Shipping and Assembly

The individual units are shipped in flat pack form. Easy self-assembly. No extra tools are required for assembly.
