Lightness combined with stability – a true balancing act. Seiltänzer bed artistically meets this challenge with four filigree steel legs and an almost floating surface area. Connected and fixed with four taut ropes.
Lightness combined with stability
Four filigree steel legs hold a reclining surface almost floating above the ground. Each leg is braced to the frame by a rope to secure Seiltänzer. The mattress rests on it like a tableau. The frame can be extended at will to store an alarm clock, books or breakfast in bed. For extra comfort, a headboard may be added to the bed.

Good to know
There is a special procedure, which is generally used in tool manufacture, to give the delicate legs their matt black appearance. In the nidriding process nitrogen, carbon and oxygen diffuse at approx. 570°C into the surface and improve its resilience. The subsequent expansion creates a velvety feel. The characteristic appearance of steel and possible light processing traces remain visible.
The Seiltänzer family
We have a lot of experience with furniture that dances to a different drum. And the braced rope is a recurrent theme throughout our collection. When we developed Seiltänzer we initially considered the snap lock on a ski binding. However, ultimately it proved more effective to stabilise the legs using a braced rope. The characteristic detail of the circumferential rope also won us over. And because it’s so great, the idea has been continued for the table and bed.

Technical Details / Notes
General Information
The bed only functions in connection with an adapted slatted frame. It is included in the delivery. A tool for assembly and a middle panel for mattress widths from 140 cm are also delivered.
Headboard can be added subsequently.
Mattress is not included in delivery. The recommended mattress height is between 15 and 20 cm.
The tray integrated in the bed frame is optional and can be fitted at the head or foot of the bed. Subsequent extension is not possible.
When combined with a headboard, the tray must be positioned at the foot end of the bed!
Shipping and Assembly
The individual units are shipped in flat pack form.
Easy self-assembly.
No extra tools are required for assembly.
