Kampenwand carries its solid panel sure-footed and with ease. A braced rope, which simultaneously becomes the characteristic feature of the construction, provides stability. Named after our local mountain, Kampenwand remains true to its regional position even with regard to production.
Well braced
The Kampenwand series was originally created as part of the furnishing for our guesthouse berge. Minimalistic furniture of local wood, bearing the hallmarks of our direct surroundings. If however you think of climbing when you see the striking rope that braces the bench and table, you are mistaken. We have to direct our gaze a few kilometres further for the answer. The solution ultimately lay with the sailors on Chiemsee where we discovered a rope that combined a high level of breaking load and durability with low elasticity.

Named after our local mountain
The table and bench owner does not have to familiarise himself either with ropes nor knots to conquer this Kampenwand. Our regional producers have taken every step to ensure that bench and table remain properly braced. The tabletop and seat are made by our carpenter from untreated fir wood. The base frame of steel comes from the village smith next door. Not only possible, but even intentional that no two pieces are exactly the same.
No tools and no screws
What is Nils Holger Moormann’s problem with screws? He doesn’t have one. There are even several furniture pieces in our collection that display screws as an eye-catching design feature. However, in general we attempt to find new ways. In the case of Kampenwand it is a clever rope brace that gives even the most solid wooden planks a sense of lightness.

General Information
Suitable for indoor and covered outdoor areas. We recommend the galvanized steel or powder coated glossy version for outdoors.
To protect the floor plastic glides have been attached to the feet.
Shipping and Assembly
The individual units are shipped in flat pack form.
Easy self-assembly.
No extra tools are required for assembly.
